Casa do Olival (which means Olive tree House) is located in Figueir\u00f3 dos Vinhos, a charming old town located in the center of Portugal – 45 kms from Coimbra, 50 Kms from Tomar, 180 Kms from Lisbon and 160 Kms from Spain.
\nIn the reconstruction, the owner of Casa do Olival tried to give a touch of modernity but keeping the main characteristics of the house, both inside and outside.
\nSurrounded by a small garden area, the house is set in the middle of an olive grove, where there are also some fruit trees. That makes it possible for our guests, depending on the time of the year, to pick up oranges for a delicious orange juice, or even olives for an outdoor appetizer.
\nCasa do Olival is a family project and it was created with inspiration from different parts of the world. The rooms, for example, were named \u201cPortugal\u201d, \u201cMozambique\u201d and \u201cSweden\u201d according to the countries were the different family members live.
\nDespite the quiet and peaceful rural environment that is enjoyed in the house, it is only a 7 minutes walking distance to the center of the village.<\/p>\n

\nThe house has capacity for 6 persons and has an indoor area of 80m2.
\nOn the ground floor, there is the kitchen, as well as the dining and living room and a toilet.
\nOn the upper floor, there are 3 bedrooms (2 with double bed and 1 with two single beds) and 1 full bathroom.
\nIn Casa do Olival there is also a backyard and a porch with a grill.
\nThe kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and water heater, micro-wave, coffee brewers (moka pot and drip coffee maker, refridgerator, dish washer, toaster, kettle, kitchenware, crockery, cutlery, iron and ironing board.
\nThe dining \/ living room offers a dining table for 6 people, a sofa and armchairs, audio equipment, television with 6 basic channels, wi-fi, board games and a book-crossing corner, with a set of books in several languages.
\nFor winter nights, Casa do Olival has a closed fireplace in the living room and several electric heaters in the bedrooms.
\nThere is internet\/wi-fi in the house.
\nBed linen and towels are provided during the guests` stay. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom and electric heaters in the rooms.
\nDuring the stay at Casa do Olival, guests can enjoy outdoor meals in the backyard which has an excellent sun exposure for sunbathing. There are outdoor furniture, resting chairs, a parasol and several outdoor games available.
\nFor the little ones, Casa do Olival provides a crib, a baby high chair and several outdoor and indoor games.
